We are honored to receive this prestigious recognition once again and are thankful to our clients and carriers for supporting us through their votes.
Over 10 years ago, when we began our journey to the top and were first ranked within the top 10, we knew we couldn’t stop until we were #1. Each year, we focused on how to improve and grow from the previous year, and soon we started to advance higher in the rankings. Today, our commitment to innovation is stronger than ever, and this has played a significant role in us maintaining our #1 title for the last five years in a row.
Another key factor that has allowed us to achieve this honor is our team members’ dedication to simplifying transportation management for our clients and carriers, despite dealing with the challenges of a global pandemic. Although COVID-19 continues to have a monumental effect on the transportation and logistics industry, the Echo team has remained resilient and committed to helping clients and carriers manage through challenges effectively. Earning the top title for the fifth consecutive year validates the hard work of all our team members.
At the start of the pandemic, we smoothly implemented our business continuity plan thanks to our cross-functional business leaders’ preparation and our information technology department’s expertise. Our ability to adapt to new circumstances quickly, coupled with our proprietary technology that was built to be used from anywhere, ensured there would be no disruption of service to our clients and carriers. Echo’s unique culture was also instrumental to our success, and even while working remote, we leveraged a suite of online tools and implemented new programs to ensure our team members remained engaged and connected. Without a doubt, these factors contributed to us being voted #1 again this year.
We continue to invest in our people as well as our proprietary technology platforms, including EchoShip™ and EchoDrive®, so we can provide shippers and carriers with access to the best tools and most insightful experts in the business. At Echo, we pride ourselves on offering our clients and carriers leading technology at their fingertips and experts by their sides.
This past year, we also launched EchoShip Rewards, a loyalty program that allows clients to earn points when they book LTL and Truckload shipments via EchoShip and redeem them for merchandise, shipping discounts, or charitable donations. In addition, we continue to add new benefits to EchoDrive Preferred, our rewards program built for our carrier partners. All of these factors set us apart from our competitors and have significantly contributed to us earning the #1 title for the fifth year in a row.
