For the fourth consecutive year, Echo Global Logistics has been voted the #1 third-party logistics provider in the Inbound Logistics Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards. We’re excited to once again earn this prestigious honor as it is a meaningful testament to the satisfaction of our clients and carrier partners, as well as the reputation of Echo in the industry.
Our key to achieving and maintaining the #1 ranking is our relentless commitment to innovation, improvement, and growth. Ten years ago, when we first made it into the top 10, we were surrounded by companies that were much more established than us. While we were pleased to be included in the top 10, it wasn’t enough for us to stop there. We focused on moving forward by rolling out new technology for our shipper and carrier partners to continuously improve efficiency and further simplify transportation management.
It didn’t take long for the industry to recognize our work, and we began to rise in the rankings. This culminated in Echo being voted the #1 3PL for the first time in 2017. When we received the honor, we knew that we couldn’t remain complacent and needed to keep pushing the boundaries through our innovation.
Since then, we’ve continued to develop and add new elements to our technology platforms, EchoShip and EchoDrive®, and we launched EchoDrive Preferred, our loyalty program for carrier partners. With these enhancements, we are further simplifying the freight marketplace with solutions that address our clients’ and carriers’ needs, while also increasing the productivity of our employees. Our continuous investment in technology has differentiated us from our competitors and certainly plays a key role in Echo being voted #1 these last four years.
The significance of earning the #1 spot this year during such unprecedented times is not lost on us. While there was a sense of uncertainty across the country at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Echo quickly adapted to the new circumstances and seamlessly transitioned over 2,500 employees to a remote work setting. We equipped our employees with the tools and technology they needed to fully carry out their job functions while working offsite, which allowed us to provide uninterrupted customer service and undoubtedly helped us earn this respected #1 ranking once again.
