Marty Martin has served as Vice President of LTL Sourcing since March of 2019. Marty manages Echo's relationships with over 100 LTL carriers. He joined Echo as Director of LTL Sourcing in June of 2015 as part of the acquisition of Command Transportation. Descended from a multigenerational family of trucking company owners, Marty was working on loading docks at 16 years old. Marty's company, J.F. Martin Cartage Co., handled local cartage, long haul trucking, and nationwide freight brokerage from 1994-2008. After being acquired by Command Transportation, Marty began to work more closely with LTL carriers. In his time in the 3PL and freight brokerage world, Marty has been honored to learn from some of the best in the industry. Outside of work, Marty likes to spend time with his wife and four children. In addition, he is involved in multiple charitable organizations. He is a founding board member of Second Bridge, a nonprofit dedicated to helping foster children in the Northern Illinois area and beyond. Second Bridge has received national recognition for its work in supporting thousands of foster children. Marty earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northern Illinois University.
